Does the Xbox HDMI cable and AV adapter support an optical audio cable?
I've been wondering if it does so I can use HDMI to my monitor and then run an optical cable to my surround sound system. None of the pictures I've seen of the HDMI adapter look like they have a slot for an optical cable.
Yes, the audio adapter you get with the official Microsoft Xbox 360 HDMI cable supports both an optical output as well as the usual red/white RCA outputs.
