dvi to vga adapter question, 10 pts for best answer?
hey guys, i just bought a samsung 2494 lcd monitor, it has 2 ports, dvi and vga. however, my laptop only have a vga on it. so my question is, would i get a better picture quality, if i bought vga to dvi converter adapter?

my graphic card is ati x300 (128 mb)
That will NEVER work.
You cannot use a simple cable adapter to connect an ANALOG-ONLY laptop VGA output to a DIGITAL-ONLY monitor DVI input.
Analog is NOT compatible with Digital.
If you attempt to do that, you will get NO image.
Those DVI-VGA adapters are intended for video cards that have a DVI-I output capable of sending out a VGA signal, to connect to a VGA-only monitor. The adapter DOES NOT convert an analog signal to digital or vice versa.
