i just put together a computer and now I'm stuck.?
so after i put the motherboard and hooked up everything i turned on the computer and the POST screen didn't come up. the computer screen is on but its on that self test thing it does and just says nothing is wrong with the monitor. everything seems to be running inside the computer the motherboard doesn't have a on-board graphics so i have to have the video card in. some one said i needed to install the OS but how do i do that if i cant see anything on the computer screen. sorry for being such a computer rookie.. this is my setup

If you are hearing no post beeps, you have a hardware issue. It may be the processor fan isnt plugged in to the proper socket on the mobo or the processor itself isnt seated all the way.. You should either hear 1 beep or a series of beeps once the system detects the processor is cooling properly.1 beep should get you to boot. Consult your mobo manual for the beep codes. You might also take all mem sticks out but one for the initial setup. Make sure its in the number 1 slot.
