Which one is better, if all else is equal?
This is just for running a personal site, btw. And I'm NOT BUYING A SERVER, I'm trying to choose between 2 hosts with the above mentioned servers.

I know I won't even come close to using all the bandwidth and storage either host gives me. This is really the only thing that differentiates the 2 hosts.
The Q9300 will be faster when the processing load is just 4 threads or less. However, when processing more threads simultaneously, the dual opteron set up would excel.
If you think the host has substantial load, better choose the one that has higher multi-processing capability.
