Can anyone tell me why my Laptop screen is blank?
My Son's old Laptop which is an IBM Thinkpad T42, is giving 1 long beep followed by 2 short beeps which apparently indicates either a System board failure; Video adapter problem; or LCD assembly failure The screen is completely blank and I have tried another monitor, but it is still the same so I think that rules out a LCD assembly failure.Also I have tried switching the ram modules but that makes no difference either, so I think that leaves either a System board failure; or a Video adapter problem! How can I be sure of what the problem is or is there anything else that could be causing the problem? Thank you in Advance.
