Hi, I recently bought a Asus Essentio CG5290-BP007 from Best Buy. I was very Dissapointed when I tried to install my Belkin Wireless G MIMO USB Adapter and it wouldn't work. Turns out it only works for XP 32 bit and Vista 32 bit. I would Like to install my Windows XP Home edition 2002 Service Pack 1, But I'm still confused on one thing:
Drivers.
I don't know if I'm supposed to reinstall my Asus' Drivers ( Audio, Graphics, Etc ) or, Use the Disk that has Drivers for Dell Dimension E310. If I just install Windows XP as a Dual Boot ( Both XP and Vista 64 ) on my Computer, Will they share the Drivers?
Each operating system has to have its own drivers. Vista drivers will not work on XP and XP drivers will not work on Vista.
You need to go to Asus and see if they have XP drivers for your computer.
A lot of manufacturers do not have drivers for a previous (earlier) operating system.
Edit: I hope you are not trying to install XP with a Dell disk. It will not work. Dell disks are made for Dell computers only.
