here is what i have so far. tell me if its good or not.

Other than your integrated graphics card, it's a relatively solid system.
The processor allows you to upgrade later to a 64bit OS.
Vista Home Basic is just fine and the premium version just gives you eye candy for the most part. Be warned that if you want to connect to a Server, you'll need to be at Vista Business or better.
3GB of RAM is excellent and you'll appreciate it.
The video card is weak. I'd recommend you get a minimum of a 8000 series Nvidia card so that you'll have DirectX10 compatibility.
The drive is good in regards to speed. You could bump up one more level to the 320GB series as most of them double your memory cache which will translate into more burst speed.
The Dual drives is a personal preference. The only thing you should consider is going to a Dual layer RW DVD vs. the single layer.
Audio is audio these days. I don't notice much quality difference between the onboard vs. a Sound Blaster these days.
You could bump up your wireless to N vs. G. You'll notice the speed difference depending on the network you are connecting to. I use a wireless N card and prefer it based upon my usage (lots of file transfers, etc.)
Overall, it's a relatively good start at a decent system in my opinion. You could probably customize it more specific to your needs.
