how do i reduce vcore voltage?
i am currently running a 420 watt atx power supply, asus a7v333 motherboard, amd 2400+ processor running at 2 GHz stock. it has one 512 mb stick of ddr ram inside a chieftec full size case. its got a decent ball bearing cpu fan and plexy glass fan in the siding, the power supply has a fan underneath as well for airflow. my vcore voltage is running at 2.01 and it keeps locking up in bios, and if i try to boot up it simply resets, can anyone tell me how i can reduce this voltage?
You are running your processor at maximum specified Vcore. It could run HOT at that level. Try loading fail safe defaults in BIOS. Or adjust Vcore manually in BIOS. If those don't work, something could be wrong with the voltage regulator circuit of your motherboard. You may have to retire that socket A motherboard or better yet move to current AM2 or LGA 775 format.
