AGP, PCI and PCI-E are all different types of graphics cards for different systems. Some cards only have the hardware to utilize an AGP card or a PCI card. I wasn't able to tell from your specs what card you have so go to RUN and run msinfo. Click multimedia then display and a lot of information will come up. Look at the section where it says PNP Device ID. Ours was PCIVEN_1002&DEV_71E2&SUBSYS_23431002 etc.

PCI is the type of card we have in our computer.

We prefer Radeon graphics cards and Im not sure about GeForce but we're running a Radeon x1600 512MB and it was great for gaming. Having a 40 dollar limit might constrict your options so if your serious about a new card with performance I'd be prepared to dish out 100-150 dollars.
