What kind of pcmcia modem card should i get for a Dell latitude laptop ? Need reliable connection, THX?
The Dell lattitude laptop is kinda old and has no built in modem. Recently i have used "Zonet 56k v.92" which was not compatible, it kept disconnecting every 10 minutes and the modem speaker cud not be shut off. Also i used "Diamond 56k supermax v.90" which also cudnt hold a connection thru AOL. Can someone plz mention a reliable company or laptop modem which doesnt cost that much, somewhere between $30-$40 or a little extra.
Don't know if they still make them but used to have and use Xircom. Was happy with it. Have you checked Linksys or D-link site? Not much of a call for modem types anymore. If you are going to use Internet, use D-link or Linksys Cat5 adapters. For wireless go with the Wireless USB adapters.
