Do I need to buy a new graphic card to utilize DirectX 10 in Windows Vista?
Did Microsoft release a compatible hardware list for Windows Vista? I know that some of upcoming games exclusively support Vista and I wonder if I need a new computer at all. I am also interested in hybrid HDD which allows instant rebooting in Windows Vista.

Don't know which card you have. But it requires the above to run the new aero interface. There's an option not to use the aero interface though.

There's also no such thing as an instant reboot from a flash hybrid drive from a cold boot or a reboot, however it will give that appearance from standy/resume mode. It will give a faster boot time, but won't be instant-on as you suggest.
