Is this PSU compatible with my case and motherboard?
I have a Dell Inspiron 530 quad core that is stocked with all of the standard gear. I bought a new graphics card, the 1gb Radeon HD 4650 and installed it and everything worked fine at first. Now I'm getting errors, my computer is heating up excessively, and I've noticed a blue gelatin leaking out of my power supply. My assumption is that I'm blowing the capacitors because the card says it requires 400 Watt power supply, and mine is a 350 watt. Would this 550 watt power supply be sufficient to run my machine, and will it be compatible with both my motherboard and the case?

How do I know if my computer supports ATX?

Yeah, it will be fine. It has more than enough power. Make sure your PC supports ATX PSUs, as some PC manufacturers use special PSUs.
