I think i got ripped off for my macbook?
Well it has been a more than a month now since i bought my macbook from best buy (big mistake) and i just found out that my macbook doesnt have the official certified apple ram chips inside it. i opened it up and found 2 ram chips by the brand "eco korea something.." it doesnt even have the apple logo. I bought the macbook aluminum with 4 GB ram not knowing that they actually took my apple ram and replaced it with some no name sh!ty chips. i think they totally ripped me off especially becuase they didnt even lower the price. this also means that they secretly opened the box before selling it to me and apple care wont cover me for these parts if they malfunctioned.. i feel so bad because i worked so hard to make money just to get ripped off.
wat should i do next?
Apple Factory RAM does not have the Apple logo on it - the RAM production is done by a 3rd party, but always to Apple's specifications. The RAM you mentioned is the stock RAM that comes in most of the AL MacBooks, even when you buy it at the Apple Store.
Don't worry - it's covered by AppleCare. BestBuy did not rip you off: they would never steal your Apple RAM because Apple would cut them off from all Apple products so fast it would make your head spin.
