I just bought a 7.1 speaker syystem from onkyo and i have a question about the palcement of speakers. My Home entertainment room is in my basement which doen't have much space. A have 57" 1081i hdtv which takes up a lot of room. Most most distance a can put the front speakers is 6" from the tv. Now for the rear sorround speakers I have about 3 feet from where i will be seating to place those speekers. The other 2 speakers that are directly behind me and are fine. My question is are the distances i stated too short to get the most out of my speakers? I've read that the front speakers should be at least 6 feet away from the tv! I don't got even have a foot of space to work with. Also the left rear and front speakers are very close to the wall while the right rear and front speakers are not close to a wall. WIll that cause distortion? Is it bad to have all 6 speakers too close to each other as i will have to?
