I am building a computer mostly for gaming. I havnt begun to buy the stuff to make one and dont know how to build one but saved a page from a computer building site. What is the fastest proccessing chip I can buy, the biggest hard drive, the best motherboard, the best video card, the best sound blaster card, the best lcd flat panel, the best gaming case with lots of fans, the coolest neons to go inside it, ect... Long story short, im going all out. I got the bank to do it and a friend whos gona help me out.
Make sure you go for a 'dual core' processor. At the moment the fastest consumer CPU is made by AMD (not Intel) and is probably the 'Athlon 64 FX60', but wait a few months and Intel might be faster again who knows! If money is no object then I'd go for that, 2 nVidia video cards in SLI and a huge 30" DELL/Apple cinema display 
Don't forget a good mouse (razer copperhead...) and some decent speakers too!
Also it might be noisey with all those fans in it I hope you dont mind.
