Upgrading Graphic Card?
I am using window vista premium in HP PC with 2GB Ram and with the processor Pentium 2.2 GHz/800MHz , I am going to Upgrade my Ram and Graphic card. Currently my graphic card is
" HP w1907 wide LCD Monitor on Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family "
My mother board specification is
•Motherboard manufacturer's name: MSI MS-7525
•HP/Compaq name: Boston-GL6
and Expansion slot specification is
•One PCI
•One PCI Express x16 graphics (for graphics cards)
•Two PCI Express x1 (for cards such as network, sound, tv-tuner)
My Question is which type of upgraded graphic card I can use in my computer. Anyone can give me a few name and Type of Upgraded graphic card.
that particular board has onboard graphics, meaning (built in graphics card. it is very limited as far as performance. cards are coming down in price. you can get a very good nVidia 9800 card for under $200. be sure to turn off the onboard video graphics in your BIOS when you upgrade. also most new card will require a power supply of at least 500 watts or more if you use a nVidia9600 or higher.
