Computer starts up and runs but no display?
I recently cleaned out my computer case and replaced the CPU fan. When I put everything back together and tried firing the PC up, it run for a few seconds then shut down. It kept doing this repeatedly. I opened the case back up, took out and reinstalled the heatsink and fan, like I had done earlier as well as the RAM, video card, and necessary mobo connections. This time when I started the PC up, it ran continuously but did not produce a display. After much time and talk with other technicians I came to the conclusion the mobo was fried. It was under warranty with Asus so I did the RMA process and just got it back today "repaired".
I once more put everything carefully back together and the issue still persists. What is the issue?
I don't have a lot, myself, to go by. No beeps. The things starts up and runs. The graphics card is humming like mad. Else wise, there's no display whatsover and as far as I can tell the computer is not booting.
If it's not the video card, try to restart and select VGA mode in your startup options (you know...the menu that gives Last Known Good blah blah blah). One of the options is VGA mode.
