Controller Card Udma

Controller Card Udma
Is it possible to put two or more UDMA controllers (PCI cards) in the same system?

If so, how many channels total can be added via PCI cards?

Motherboard: FIC AZ11E (Onboard controllers DISABLED.)
Operating System: FreeBSD 6.1
Thanks for the responses so far.

In my specific situation, the onboard controller is disabled because it's very flaky—unusable at any UDMA speed (PIO only). (Any request at all to the drives triggers an ICRC error.)

What I'm interested in is wither or not there are any limits on how many channels can be added. They don't all need to be bootable, but they would all need to be accessible from within the OS.

Is it possible? Yes. My question is: Why would you want to?

The MB has 2 UDMA 33/66/100 controllers built into it and the transfer rate for UDMA 133 is not noticeably higher than 100 even if you use 133 spec cables AND drives. Unless the onboard controllers are DOA or you are trying to go to Serial ATA, I wouldn't bother.
