Also, how much thermal paste should I use for each application? I'm going to be running a Core-i7-860 with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 and 2 HIS ATI 5870s. I'll be applying Artic Cooling's MX-2 Thermal Compound. Thanks in advance

Thermal paste goes right between the CPU and the heat sink. Look for a little block of metal, more than likely cut into slots. If you don't have anything like this, then you don't need the thermal paste!
But if you do, put a little of the paste on the back of your CPU. Don't go to the edges, like buttering toast. More like a nickel or dime worth in the middle. Then, line the sink and CPU up really nice, and gently connect. I should mention that your CPU is VERY delicate, and should be handled with a lot of TLC(tender lovin care). DO NOT touch the little pins or what bumps, whatever it may have. And make sure you're not wearing wool socks on a shag carpet. (Static kills CPU's). Good luck.
