How do i wire a small CPU fan to run on its own with batteries?
A cable comes with the fan but has 3 copper contacts? whats the 3rd one for?
The 3rd yellow wire is the RPM output - it pulses once per revolution.
If you want to run it off batteries, use only the red and black (pos. and neg.) wires connected to a 5-12v supply, depending how fast you want it to go.
