lol wow.... everyone likes the icd2..... personally, I don't like intel. after time, it seems not to run quite as quickly as an AMD. AMD Typically runs a bit faster initially, but will run quicker on a constant basis than any intel. with intel, you seem to have periods of super speed, then periods of problems. I have personally had nothing but trouble with intel, and insist that my company uses nothing but AMD processors.
When AMD first came out, you could only find them as spare parts because they hadn't caught on in the bigtime world of computers... nobody knew what they were. Then, as they started picking up in sales, AMD, just like any other company that starts making money, started putting a little bit back into their product.... now, AMD is a very top of the line processor. My supplier has a hard time getting amd processors because of the cost... they run a bit higher in cost, but the true techie that has experience with them will know the difference, and understand why they are worth it.
the duo core technology simply doesn't add much to your experience, unless you run multiple high cpu programs at one time... ie: music, games, drafting programs, rendering programs, 3d games or sculptor programs, etc.
Everyone has their own opinion. You are intitled to your opinion. Do some more hands on research... you might be surprised what you find. You might like something TOTALY different.
