how do i disassemble a dell laptop display?
i have my laptop in pieces with a good operation manuals help, but i want to know how to get the back cover off the display screen as this is the part i need to change most, it is a dell studio xps 1340 i love it to bits but my son dropped it and broke one of the hinges and the back cover and its bugged me ever since.
dell want £200quid for a new lid i havn't got it so i got the bits i need myself and gave it my best shot so far so good no screws missing and very simple to do really i'm enjoying it every step of the way until now.
I thuaght it would be like a mobile phone screen but its not just something you can slide out or take screws out so i'm stuck.
