My sister has a Toshiba satellite M35X-S161 and there's a serious problem with it: after the laptop is turned on the fan turns on very briefly (less than 2 seconds) and then it goes off, and nothing shows up on the monitor. Strangely enough, only one time when I turned it on I could see a little bit at the start-up - the BIOS information, the Microsoft Windows loading, and then nothing after that.
What could be causing this to happen? Could it be a problem with the CPU, or is it something to do with the laptop LCD monitor?
do you hardly see anything on the screen? then it must the backlight on the screen, it doesn't work, and you can't do anything about it unfortunately
when i bought mine from the store it was exactly like this, i returned it, and they gave me a new one.
