My new HDTV suddenly won't allow me to increase sound levels?
The volume level is set on the highest setting with the TV remote and you have to strain to hear it if there is other noise in the room. I have the TV attached to a digital cable box from Comcast. It was okay for about 3 weeks and now this--is it the cable or the tv? And if it is the television, should I return it (I ordered it online so shipping will be quite a pain!) or is there a cheap way to fix it that will stay that way?
Use comcast remote. Access menu on cable box, go to setup, scroll to audio, there will be a setting for best audio or similar, ok that setting and you should be ok. Or, hit the cable mode button on remote,press vol. up, and try to increase the cable box output volume.
