i have a 1998 laptop with win 2k on it it wont let me on the internet with my netgear 32 bit cardbus ethernet?
its a netgear 32 bit cardbus ethernet card it lights up when in the laptop and the laptop shows and knows its there but wont let me connect i set it up thru lan line but still no luck. please help i have cable internet thru comcast if that helps
Even though your PC sees the card, have you loaded the drivers for the card? That is the first place I would look. Second, check the support site for the card's manufacturer for compatibility issues. Back then, some of the manufacturers pcmcia controllers had compatibility issues with cardbus cards....kinda like the reary days of PCI slots in PC's.
