Extreme Thermal Compound
Which thermal compound is better (CPU will be kept at stock speeds - C2D)- GELID Extreme MC-1 or AS5?

If you are going to keep it stock speeds, then it really wouldn't matter.
I've seen Pentium Ds with good heatsinks stay at 60-70C with no thermal compound; not overclocked

But if you aren't going to OC, then it doesn't really matter. Just make sure it has so SILVER in it. The metal. If there is any metal in the compound it could short out your mobo if you get it on the tracers.

But, I recommend Arctic Silver. It is the best. Period. Get that.
