I'm currently building yet another pc. I've purchased a dual core processor (e2140) on ebay but it did not come with a heatsink or fan. I'm trying to find out which heatsink / fan would fit with this cpu e2140 (SOCKET 775) I have heard that this cpu runs rather hot and that the intel stock heatsink / fan aren't quite as good but I have no idea. My last pc "died" due to overheating and I had a problem with the fan so I'm hoping to avoid that this time. I'm not looking for a top of the line model. I couldn't afford it anyway. I don't overclock and I'm not a gamer ether. Thanks

"Runs rather hot?" Are you kidding? The Pentium Dual Core E2140 is one of the coolest-running CPUs around.
It has a maximum TDP of 65 watts, which it rarely ever reaches. That's nothing compared to a Prescott-core Pentium-4, some of which have insane TDPs like 132 watts (i.e. throws out 132 watts of waste heat).
I recommend the Zalman CNPS-7000C. It will cool that PDC E2140 evtremely well, runs VERY quiet, and is small enough to fit into the tightest cases. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835118048
