Does anyone know how to change the fan setting in a Compaq Laptop? Mine will not run high? Running XP?
My laptop is a HP-Compaq Notebook series. I need to know how to how to get the fan to turn on to high when it heats up. It keeps shutting down.
You dont need to mess with the automatic setting, they are already perfectly calibrated.
You are overheating because the dust has clogged the exhaust.
You can go to a very large choice of places and buy a good old can of AIR and use that to blow all of that dust out of your computer.
