How do I get rid of a nonexistant floppy disk drive?
I signed in to my account on my PC (I am using Windows Vista) to notice a windows message popping up on the bottom right of the screen telling me "Floppy Disk Drive Successfully Installed". However, I can clearly see that my computer is not equipped with a floppy disk drive, portable or otherwise. What may be the cause, and how do I fix this?
Disable the Floppy Drive in the BIOS. You can enter the BIOS by pressing DEL or F2. The BIOS should have an option for enabling certain types of floppy drives. It should say like "3.44MB 3 1/2" or something to that effect.
