hey guys first of all here are my pc specs ..os windows 7-64bit, 8 gb of ram, AMD Phenom II x6 1045t clocked at 2.70 GHz, 1 Tb hdd 7200rpm , not sure wht my dvdr is but its fast, ATI radeon HD 5450 gpu.
i cant run games like medal of honor, need for speed hot persuit the new one, or Bad Company 2. why is that ive even overclocked my cpu to 3.2 and my gpu to its max. on the inside is the stock cpu cooler( buying a new one soon) a 120mm case fan. im waithing on my hdd cooler and my slot cooler for my gpu. and the last thing is im using a 720p 32 in INSIGNIA hdtv and i think that might be a problem. im not good with monitors but would the response time make me lag more cause a computer monitors is like 5ms. anyways thanks guys
Firstly, your TV is not the problem. Neither is your processor nor your RAM. The only problem is the ATI Radeon HD5450, designed to be for media center PCs as it's silent and can do 1080p video. That's it. If you want to play Medal of Honor at a reasonably high frame rate at 720p, you'd need to upgrade to an HD5770, although I think the GTX 460 768mb would suit you better. The response time would make it seem as if you lag more but that isn't a main problem.
The reason why I think the GTX 460 768mb would suit you better is because the ATI 5-series is soon to be old tech, with the ATI 6-series coming out. The GTX 460 768mb is also does not cost that much more. However, if you could get a HD6850 or GTX 460 1GB you would be able to run almost any game you can imagine at 720p.
