how does a cpu fan-heatsink come off the motherboard? I undid the lever but assembly is still holding tight!?
I hear the fans are universal but the Replacement fan shows no clue of how to get it out!
What type of processor?
The stock Core 2 Duo heatsink/fan has 4 plastic posts that must be rotated (counterclockwise) to disengage them.
Also, running the computer for a couple of minutes should ensure the thermal compound has heated up enough so you can move the CPU.
