I've upgraded my CPU and got a new heatsink/fan to go with it, however the retention guide (the pair of brackets surrounding the socket) doesn't have the eyelets that allow for the installation of the heatsink/fan. I wanted to know how to go about getting new retention brackets with the proper eyelets but can't seem to find any on Newegg that aren't geared towards specific heatsinks.

Additional hardware/instructions came with the unit for installing it onto Socket 775's, but for 478's it's just saying to slide the clips into the eyelets in the retention bracket, doesn't mention any additional hardware.
EDIT: Sorry El Conejo... I see the 478 version is supposed to be easy to install using the original bracket. Not at all like the Zalman I was looking at...
There almost has to be 4 square holes, indentations or ridges on the outer edges of the stock bracket where a stock Intel 478 cooler would grab onto with it's 4 plastic claws. Your new retainers should grab there as well. If not... It could be your computer was built to use a certain type of aftermarket CPU cooler? If that's the case...
