I have a laptop that i am trying to fix that i got from my brother. The screen is broken but other then that he says it works but it is missing the charger and i am not sure what kind of laptop it is so i don't know what i can use for the charger. On the top right corner of the screen it says hp dv2000. So i know it is an hp pavilion entertainment laptop and on the bottom of it it says dv2550. It is also a special edition. but is is a 2000 series or something else. You would need to tell us information about the borrowed charger. Without it, Im not able to determine if you can or can not use it. Read the voltage and amperage on the charger, and see if it matches those of a DV 2(5)00 laptop. If it does, then you can. If it doesn't, then don't. As for the monitor, just plug it in and screw in the side screws to secure it and you're good to go.
