Unusual increase in temperature of the CPU of Intel Core 2 Quad Processor with Asus P5KPL-CM Motherboard?
I have just assembled a desktop computer with Intel Core 2 quad processor and Asus P5KPL-CM Motherboard. But whenever any program is run the CPU monitor warns that the CPU temperature is high. The temperature increases to 100 and the system automatically shuts down. The fan speed is quite ok. Is the motherboard incompatible or any other cause. How can I solve the problem.
Is the heatsink installed properly? Maybe you forgot to add the grease inbetween the processor and heatsink? You might try a better fan too.
