problem with a sound blaster live sound card.?
i have a creative labs sound blaster live model CT4780. i put it in my computer when it is off and start the computer up. the screen stays in standby mode. when i take the card out it starts right up. i dont know what exactly is wrong. found a couple drivers i dont knowif they are the right ones but i start to install them with the card out and the program says it doesnt detect the hardware. i have a program that can find the drivers but the hard ware needs to be installed first.
Try a different PCI slot. Try a different PC. Card may be kaput or incompatible with your PC.
If it doesn't work in a second PC, take the card and your receipt back to the store and say the card doesn't work, you tried two PCs and you want to exchange for a new one.
