Dell M1530 Laptop Memory speed -Vs.- Bus speed curiosity?
Will DDR2 667MHz memory be bad for an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T9300 (2.5GHz/800MHzFSB, 6M L2 Cache). I'm curious to know if since the system bus speed is higher than the memory speed, would DDR2 800MHz memory be optimal? I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit on a Dell XPS M1530 Laptop. Looking to get more memory, just want to know what's best! Thanks Yahoo! community.

The FSB and DDR2 Memory Speed are independent.
THe laptop motherboard only supports 667Mhz RAM. I don't even think there are 800Mhz SODIMM, but if there are, it would only run at 667Mhz anyway - since your motherboard only supports 667 Mhz modules.
