connect laptop to philips 32"?

can i connect my laptop ( lattitude d520 ) to my philips 32" lcd screen the laptop has a seven pin s.video connection and my tv looks as if it has 4 pin and the usual yellow red and white inputs do i need extra cables for sound thanks in advance

Yeah you can do, you need to get a cable that will convert from the Svid to the standard yellow RCA style cable, then get a 3.5mm headphone jack to dual RCA cable, then just either plag it into the ports on your TVor use a scart converter and plug it into the scart socket, you may then need to adjust display settings on your laptop, possibly even bios setting - allthough you probably wont need to alter any bios settings - I only mention that as i had to do it to use an external VGA connection.
