My hp notebook right hinge broke and the LCD or something like that and I bought it almost a year ago and they said the warranty will not cover it because it's exterior damage. But I didn't break it I went to close it and then I heard a loud noise and I saw that it cracked. It's not fair. I bought it not even a year ago and it cracked and paid around $1,000 for it and now they want $400 more to fix it. Is there anyway they will fix it?
I owned an HP notebook too.
The warranty tht they offer very specifically says that it does not cover any exterior damage.
Maybe if you can prove somehow that it was the system itself then they provide you with free repair.
I think maybe the system got overheated and that lead to what happened.
But still you can check it out and then present your case before them.
But in all probability , it looks like you'll have to pay them.
