I have an Ipod Nano 1G 4Gb. The screen cracked, i brought a screen of ebay that was ment for the 1G ipod nano. The ipod works but the screen is not turning on at all, nothing on it completley blank. By the way ALL of the ribbon cables are plugged in properly.

is the outer screen broken or the LCD? if its the outer screen, then it should not affect how the thing works. if its the LCD, then it might be that the LCD you bought is defective. ebay sells 1st hand and 2nd stuff right? which LCD you bought? a brand new? or the 2nd hand? if second hand, it really works that way because you can't control the quality. and its USED. if brand new, it might be a factory defect. going to the apple service center might be the best thing to do as of now.
