I have an Inspiron 6000 that has worked fine until one day, out of nowhere, anytime the monitor was moved, it would flicker on the lower 1/3 of the screen. For a while, it was only a little nuisance. Now, it's gotten to the point that the lower half freezes up, slowly turns white and freezes up. I can move the cursor down to the spot and the mouse disappears behind the white area. If I push on the screen at the bottom left about an inch above the START button, it clears up. Also, if I take the top right of the monitor and twist it toward me, or push the bottom right corner toward me the area clears up!
If anyone has a solution that doesn't involve buying a new LCD screen, I would definitely appreciate it!
Try your computer on an external LCD Screen to see if it does it there. If it still does that means it's a hardware prob. that you should deffently get it looked at. If you still have warranty with Dell have them take care of it. If everything is normal on the external LCD screen then it's your laptop's screen that has to get replaced because they are not repairable (and not worth it)
so check it out. LCD pannels for your notebook go around
$200 + or - you just got to check who has it better. don't pay 300 for it that's a rip off. if they say that tell them that you want a confrence call with their supplier to hear the original cost and then come up witha a decent profit proposal.
