Question about warranty on ebay item?
I'm buying new monitor soon and i see one that interests me on ebay, but i'm wondering does the warranty on the item still applies if asus does not list the seller as one of their authorized retailers?

I'm not sold on this item just wondering if ebay sellers actually have warranties for their item

I believe you'd actually normally need to purchase one of the warranties available through Ebay for a purchase like that.
It may technically come with the warranty card, but you should ask the seller directly if Asus would indeed honor it and how.
Some manufacturers may still honor their warranty regardless of purchase source, especially if you register it shortly after purchase. But many are indeed going to need proof it was purchased new from an authorized reseller, for which the vast majority of things on Ebay aren't going to qualify.
Very often you're able to obtain items on Ebay at a discount because warranties themselves would not be in effect, and your bidding needs to have that factored in.
