If I were to build a computer with these specs would it be any good?

Will it be able to run Sims 3? I've never build a computer so I'm new at this xD
And, whats the cheapest operating system out there? And am I missing anything important?
The system as spec'd won't run.
You've got an AM3 cpu with a motherboard that only goes to AM2+. Not compatible.
There's no Power Supply listed, unless that case comes with one pre-installed.
The Memory and Hard Drive are minimal (I haven't seen a 40GB drive offered for a year), but they are enough if you're running XP. You'll need double those for Vista/Win7
Sims 3 is fairly undemanding of the video, so the integrated video would work. You'll get smoother play with a separate video card, but if Sims 3 is the extent of your gaming, I wouldn't bother.
