I've had my white MacBook since December 2007 and like 6 months ago I noticed a little crack on the palmrest 6 months ago, now its massive and I've now noticed some hairline cracks on the 'feet' on the top of the screen. Does anyone know if Apple will replace these or should I just go and buy a new computer?
Since you have had it for so long they most likely will not fix it. Now you can always call and talk to them because if it was a major issue with that particular year of macbooks they may have a longer warranty for this specific issue (they fixed my air 6 months out of warranty because of a longer warranty on a few different areas of the macbook). Most likely it wasn't an issue though and you've had it for 3 years (pretty good run) I would probably buy a new one. If the computer works though then try selling it to some of these websites (I know of gazelle and apple has one listed on their website that they partner with). You may not get much but even $50 is better than trashing it!
