I have an older laptop with a broken USB port. All of the PCMCIA cards that I have found require a USB-powered dongle (that I can't use because of the broken USB port). The laptop has 2 PCMCIA ports, a serial port, a parallel port (with a SCSI port via a dongle), a Dell Docking port, a PS/2 port, and a Monitor port. My question is: are there any adapters on the market (preferably cheap) that can convert one of these to a Female USB "A"?
I bought a PS/2 to USB adapter on eBay. Hopefully this solves my problem.
Yes there are look on ebay or go to microcenter or an electronics store. They cost about anywhere from $12 - $30. Also, the speed of transfer might not be the same I guess.
