I have a dell laptop and I am trying to hook up an HP Laserjet Printer. Will any USB/Parallel port cable work?
The laptop is Vista. It should recognize the HP Printer when I plus in the cable, but it does not. I've tried dowloading the driver, etc, and it still will not work. Is there a specific cable or would any cable work? Is Vista causing the problem, the HP site says the HP 2280tn will run in the vista environment.
Any USB will work. Maybe the software needs updated for it.
