i am also thinking about upgrading my memory as i only have 1GB and would like to know what is the maximum which my motherboard will allow me to have.
That board has a PCIexpress 16x slot. You can get any PCIe 16x video card. Most video cards on the market are PCIe 16x.
Some cards may say they require a PCIe 16x 2.0 slot, you can get any of these cards too, they are reverse compatible with PCIe 16x 1.0.
As for memory, you board has 2 memory slots. Each slot can hold upto 2GB RAM, for a maximum of 4GB. If you want that much ram youd have to discard the ram you have in their now.
The type of memory you need is DDR2 240pin.
The speed of the RAM supported is 533mhz and 667mhz (also called PC2-4200 and PC2-5300). If you buy faster ram than that it will just run at 667mhz, You just have to make sure its 240 pin DDR2 and each stick no larger than 2gb.
