I needed more space on my motherboard so i bought a Promise Technology host adapter/disk accelerator. I use it for my third hard drive. As soon as I install the driver my PC starts shutting itself down. When I send the error report to windows it's a stop error caused by a device driver, i'm sure it's the Ultra 100tx2/133 tx2 driver i installed to run the pci card. Is there another driver I can use to run this device?
It has nothing to do with makin my PC faster "Carlo". I use it for extra storage because my main hard drive only holds 4 MB, and my motherboard doesn't have room to hook up another hard drive. The driver is a Ultra 100 TX2/133 TX2, it's made by Promise Technologies Inc. If someone who actually has information on this, and will answer my question, instead of just telling me to unhook it i'd really apreciate it. If I remove the hardware my computer won't run at all, so please no more people telling me to just take it out of my computer. Thank you 
I don't believe in any of these third party tools. Disk Accelerators, more memory, disk cleanup.
Be very careful when you use these tools. They can harm your computer instead of helping you. The only thing I understood from you is that you bought a disck accelerator. The only thing that can accelerate your computer is three things, more memory, a new CPU and a new Video Card.
My suggestion: Don't use it and uninstall it. You will get more headaches if you keep going this way. Good luck.
