I have the option of PCMCIA card, USB, or the CAT5 cable socket in my laptop but only an old normal telephone socket to utilise. I want to use a my telephone line (dial-up) just to get daily emails for a minute or so on my laptop. I saw this item : "

Please advise me how to use the dial-up way to get temporarily online including any websites explaining how to use an affordable ISP in the UK (I guess it is an 0800-number plus reqistration charge). plug in a telephone cord to it and plug it into your wall. Than you will need to get a serivice provider and you will be able to get it to connect
