Help with noisy CPU fan?
Recently my CPU fan has become really noisy. I can't find a good cooler for my old processor. Could I inside remove the 4 screws from the 80mm fan and replace it with a 80mm 3 or 4 pin case fan?
P.S. There's no dust in the heatsink

Yes, I believe you should be able to do it without any problems. Now a days they have fans made just to be as silent as possible so that is another option you could look at.
