Software to capture video of my Samsung camcorder using fire wire port?
Is there a relatively cheap or free, simple software that can capture video of my Samsung camcorder (which records on to mini DV tapes) and save it to my computer? There is a DVi Interface port on the camera and I have a firewire cable that goes from that in to my computer.

Yes...use can use Windows Movie Maker (PC) or iMovie (Mac) which are free and you may already have them on your computer.
